Hand made nursery name plaque

by marianne
(uk)

After seeing online a gorgeous name plaque i wanted for our new baby girl's bedroom, for way too much money than i wanted to spend, I managed to convince my husband that he could make one for a lot less!

So he cut out the letters from a piece of plywood, and cut out a board from the same wood, to use as the plaque. Then the project was handed over to me.

I used spray adhesive to cover the wood with some pretty floral wallpaper that I got from the local DIY store for about £2.00. Then used paint tester pots in lilac, pink and green to paint the letters. Instead of using glue to attach the letters I used some "NO NAILS" tape that I brought from the £1 shop! I used a pink gingham ribbon to hang the plaque on the wall.
